Grouping items

You can group your inventory items using 4 different constructs, namely:

Assigning your inventory items to these groups is extremely beneficial for reporting purposes and makes your stock searches a lot easier as well. By grouping your inventory items you can for example determine which revenue streams are making the most money for you or easily check stock availability of an item that falls within a specific group.

How you use the groups is up to you, here is an example of how to do the grouping. Let's say you deal in air-conditioners, you could create the following groups:

  • Stock Group: AIRCON
  • Stock Category: IND (for indoor units)
  • Stock Brand: SAMSUNG
  • Stock Class:  12000BTU
