Standard journals are pre-defined journals, meaning that they are journals you set up once and are processed every month. This makes it more convenient for you so that you do not need to set up the same journals each month from scratch.
Creating a standard journal

Navigate to the correct window
- Navigate to Ledger / Journals / Enter Standard Journal.
Create the standard journal
- Enter a name for the standard journal in the Journal Name text box.
Enter the journal line items.
- Enter (or select) the account number in the ACCOUNT column.
- Enter a reference in the REFERENCE column, if required.
- Change the entry in the REMARK column, if required.
- Enter (or select) a project for the line item in the PROJECT column, if required.
- Enter (or select) a department for the line item in the DEPT column, if required.
- Enter the entry amount in the AMOUNT column.
- Make sure that the Journal Balance is 0.
- Click the Accept button.
