The difference between payments and bank transfers
Payments in Fincon Accounting refer to payments that are made to you by customers, whereas bank transfers refer to payments you make to your suppliers.
Recording a bank transfer

Note that bank transfers entered with this function will be classified as undeposited and will not be processed until it has been reconciled, if you need to see how to do this, read this guide.
Navigate to the correct window
- Navigate to Ledger / Bank Transfers / Enter Bank Transfer.
Enter the transfer's general details
- Enter the payee's name in the Payee text box, if left blank it will be set to the name or description of the first entered account.
- Enter the date of the transaction in the Date text box.
- Enter the transfer period in the Period text box, (enter 0 if you want the transfer to use the clearing period).
- Enter (or select) the bank account number in the Bank Account text box.
Enter the transaction details
- Enter (or select) the appropriate account in the ACCOUNT column.
- Enter the transfer amount in the AMOUNT column.
Allocate the transfer
- Click on the relevant entry amount in the OUTSTANDING column.
- Press F3 to allocate the transfer.
You can also press F4 to allocate the transfer with the calculated discount amount according to the percentage entered.
Save the transfer
- Click the Accept button.
