Overview
You can deactivate customers in two ways:
When a customer is deactivated they will no longer show up on your searches or be present in reports that you generate.
Customers can be deactivated at any time, meaning even if they owe you money they can be deactivated.
Deactivating customers individually

Navigate to the correct window
- Navigate to Debtors / Account Maintenance.
Call up the appropriate account
- Enter (or select) the appropriate account in the Account Number text box.
Deactivate the account
- Enter N in the Active text box.
Save the changes
- Click the Accept button.
Deactivating customers in bulk

Create the CSV file
- Open Microsoft Excel (or any other suitable alternative).
- Enter the item information in the appropriate columns.
- Save the file in spreadsheet format (in order to refer to later if needed).
- Save the file in CSV format.
- Close the file.
With this CSV file the headings need to be present, the headings you will use are the following and in this order:
- ACCNO
- ACTIVE
Navigate to the correct window
Navigate to System / Import Utilities / Update Records.
Select the import type
- Select Debtor Accounts from the Import Type group.
Upload the CSV file
- Click the Open File button.
- Select the CSV file you created in the previous steps.
- Click the Open button (or double-click the file).
- Do a superficial check of the import and make any required changes.
Deactivate the accounts
- Click the Accept button.
