Editing sales orders

When can a sales order still be edited?

A sales order can be edited when it has not been partly or fully processed. This can be bypassed by enabling the Amend Partially Delivered S/Orders user right.

You can enable the user-right by doing the following:

  1. Navigate to System / Users and Passwords.
  2. Enter (or select) the username of the appropriate user in the User text box. 
  3. Click the Other tab.
  4. Enable the Amend Partially Delivered S/Orders user-right.
  5. Click the Accept button.  

What kind of changes can be made?

  • Change the date of the sales order.
  • Change the customer reference.  
  • Assign a new sales rep to the sales order.    
  • Change the sales order type. 
  • Add or remove comments.  
  • Specify whether the sales order contains items that need to be assembled or not.
  • Add items to the sales order. 
  • Remove items from the sales order. 
  • Edit existing item details like quantities and prices. 
  • Edit item descriptions. 
  • Add or remove groups.
  • Change the delivery method.

Navigate to the correct window

  1. Log in to Fincon Accounting
  2. Navigate to Orders Sales Orders / Amend Sales Order

Call up the appropriate sales order

  1. Enter (or select) the appropriate sales order number in the Order Number text box. 

Edit the sales order

  1. Make the desired changes.
Refer to the What changes can be made? section to see what kind of changes can be made.

Save the changes

  1. Click the Accept button.
  2. Change the required information on the Enter Message window and click the Accept button.
  3. Specify the print options and click the OK button to print, or click the Cancel button to close the window without printing.
