What changes can be made?
- Change the date of the quotation.
- Change the customer reference.
- Assign a new sales rep to the quotation.
- Select to print either a proforma invoice or a quotation.
- Add or remove comments.
- Add items to the quote.
- Remove items from the quote.
- Edit existing item details like quantities and prices.
- Edit item descriptions.
- Add or remove groups.
When can quotations not be edited?
Quotations can not be edited under the following circumstances:
- The quotation has been rejected due to profit margin protection. This can however, be bypassed by enabling the Amend Rejected Quotes and S/Orders user right in the Other tab of the Users and Passwords menu.
- The quotation has already been converted into a sales order. This can, however, be bypassed by enabling the Re-use Quotations on Sales Orders user-right in the Other tab of the Users and Passwords menu.
Editing a quotation
Navigate to the correct window
- Navigate to Orders / Quotations / Amend Quotation.
Call up the appropriate quotation
- Enter (or select) the appropriate quotation number in the left part of the Quote/Date text boxes.
Edit the quotation
- Make the desired changes.
Refer to the What changes can be made? section to see what kind of changes can be made.
Save the changes
- Click the Accept button.
- Make your desired changes on the Enter Message window and click the Accept button.
- Specify the print options and click the OK button, or click the Cancel button to close the window without printing.
