How do I get started with Fincon Accounting?

After Fincon Accounting has been installed, it has to be registered to be able to use it with no restrictions. While it is technically possible to use the application without registering it, you will only be allowed unrestricted access for a certain amount of time, after which your access will be restricted until the application is registered.

After registration (and renewal for that matter), you are given unrestricted access for a period of two weeks, after which time your registration (or renewal) has to be confirmed. This is to allow ample time for your payment to reflect in our account. If your payment reflects in our account by the time you do your registration (or renewal), your registration (or renewal) will be confirmed immediately as well, so the two week period mentioned above will not apply to you.

There are currently two ways of registering, confirming and renewing. The legacy method involves you contacting our office to get a registration code (this involves you phoning our support line). The new method (which we greatly recommend you make use of) only requires you to have an Internet connection and to push one button, after which our back-end services takes care of the rest.

Telephone Registration

If you have multiple companies created in Fincon Accounting, you need to be logged into the top-most one.
  1. Navigate to File / Registration / First Time Registration.
  2. Enter the name of the company in the Company Name text box.
  3. Phone our support line.
  4. Give the agent the name you entered in the Company Name text box as well as the Serial Number.
  5. The agent will then present you with an identification number, check that this corresponds to what is reflected next to Identification Number on your screen.
  6. The agent will then present you with a registration number, enter this in the Registration Number text box.
  7. Click the OK button.
  8. Check that the following message box has appeared: First time registration completed successfully.
  9. Click the OK button to close the window.

“One-click” Registration

This method requires an active internet connection.
  1. Navigate to FileRegistrationFirst Time Registration.
  2. Enter the name of the company in the Company Name text box.
  3. Enter your Fincon Accounting account number in the Account Number text box.
  4. Click the Get Registration Info button.
  5. Check that the following message box has appeared: First time registration completed successfully.
  6. Click the OK button to close the window.
You can find your account number on the tax invoice that we sent you.

Remember that after your Fincon Accounting has been registered, you might have to confirm the registration two weeks afterwards.
